February 9th - Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Friends,
 
I made it safely to the Philippines for the Medical Mission.  I am grateful and thankful to the Knights of Columbus and those Parishioners who gave me a little spending money for this trip to the Philippines.  I was able to give $1,000 to the Medical Mission. Please pray for me and all those of whom I will meet.  
 
For this Sunday, February 9th, Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time, when it comes to God’s plan, Jesus qualifies the person, he does not pick those that are qualified. When Jesus calls us, we should respond with a “Yes” just as the first Apostles did.  They abandoned their way of life to follow Jesus and his way of life.
