The opening prayer for the Mass says: "Show favor, or Lord, to your servants and mercifully increase the gifts of your grace, that made fervent in hope, faith and charity, they may be ever watchful in keeping your commands."
We are constantly aware that we need the grace of God to live this life. As we celebrate the Eucharist this weekend, we have to gather our strength from and though the Eucharist. Jesus always leads us to rest in Him, and we are called to use the time with Him to gather our strength. As the disciples finds rest, we are called to us our rest in Jesus to build up reserves to manifest the love of God in the world.
Preparation and registration will be concluding this week for the Archdiocesan Youth Conference (AYC) which gathers participants from all over the local Church. Finally, Please continue to pray for all of the communities affected by Hurricane Beryl. As we move towards recovery, let us support the mission and ministry of our St. Vincent De Paul society by bringing in grocery store gift cards of the amounts of $25.00 to be distributed to all those in need. We are called to do our part in response to the call for help. (Drop the gift cards in the collection basket and they will be given to St. Vincent De Paul members to distribute).
