On behalf of JoAnn Berntsen and the Berntsen family, I want to thank all the people of St. Hyacinth for their outpouring of support and sympathy during this time as we mourn our brother Deacon Frank. As we mourn his passing and celebrate his life, we acknowledge that He touched all our lives in so many ways –as a husband, father, and Deacon. His integrity and steadfast love for his children, family, and the Church will always be in our hearts. His unwavering concern for and gentleness with those who sought his help, and his lifelong commitment to serving the people of God will be an example for all of us. With love, the memory of Deacon Franks’ kind deeds and the strength of his example will live on.
Once again thank you to Deacon Dennis Hickey for his wonderful words during Thursday Evenings Vigil Service for Deacon Frank. Deacon Hickey, even in retirement, continues to be a blessing to our community. Thank you to the Knights of Columbus for leading the rosary at the Vigil service and providing the honor Guard for the funeral at the Co Cathedral. Thank you to our wonderful choir for providing the wonderful music in both the Vigil and funeral Mass. I want to thank the Catholic Daughters for their service during this time of trial for our parish. I want to thank all of our Acolytes who helped make the funeral mass run smoothly at the Co Cathedreal. And finally I want to thank all of those countless individuals who helped make the vigil service and Funeral Mass for Deacon Frank a special time to celebrate his life.
