Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
In his passion and crucifixion, Jesus redeems our pai and our death. As Christians we will not be able to escape the trials and tribulations of life, but we will have Jesus with us because he knows our pains and sorrows. As we are a witness to what Jesus has gone through for us, we can be assured that he walks with us throughout our pain and sorry, but through our joys as well.
STHY is blessed to have an incredible amount of faithful people that are part of our Liturgy for Easter season: Altar servers, acolytes, Readers, singers, musicians, cantors, and all contribute to making the Easter Liturgy on line possible for our parish.
Next, I want to take the time to thank everyone who has participated in the 2021 DSF campaign. Our goal this year at St. Hyacinth is $80,000 and we have so far collected $19,574 from only 100 families (as of the writing for this bulletin). We always strive for 100 percent participation.
The DSF raises funds to support the more than 60 ministries of the Church that no one parish on its own could ever accomplish, but that collectively we can all do to bring God’s love to all people. Most of these ministries operate behind the scenes and we don’t think about them because we just assume that the Church does them, but it can only be done through your support.
If we have 100% participation from everyone, we will make our goal easily. The average pledge is usually around $250. For those who have not given anything to DSF, could you please consider giving that amount this year? Or maybe make a pledge of $365 — a dollar a day to support those great ministries. Any amount that exceeds our goal is returned to us 50 percent (the other 50 percent goes to help inner-city parishes in need), so it’s a blessing for us and the archdiocese. Please prayerfully consider what you will pledge and we’ll see that it is processed. Let’s do our part to, as this year’s theme says, minister with “Walk in the Light of Christ” I thank you for your continued support of the DSF at STHY.

One of our parish goals in 2021 is to increase the number of families supporting St Hyacinth using Faith Direct. Currently we have 214 families using Faith Direct and hopefully by the end of the year we can have at least 325 families of STHY on Faith Direct. The number of 325 families represents 20% of our parish population of registered parishioners.
