In this New Year, we need to search for God to have a greater encounter in our faith. My friends if you keep searching you will find him. It can be as small as committing to prayer. It can be as much as spending time being still in adoration, a retreat, a spiritual Diocesan workshop, or serving in different ministries.
I have learned the more you work at something the better you become. So why not work on searching for Christ? Keep searching for your Epiphany experience, your great encounter. Break away from indifference and emptiness as the three magi did. They had everything but they were still hungry interiorly. They tried to search for the great king on their own but failed. Then God touched their interior hunger as they continued to search for their great encounter. Their eyes and minds were open to the greater glory of God, not of the world. They saw the poor lowly baby, and then they understood.
It is about the Divine One that created all things and can come even in a lowly state to save ALL. That my dear friends is truly the divine king. That same King who humbles us in ways that we could not imagine. He is the King that will envelop you in all his power.
If you search, he will encounter you like no other. I hope you will soon experience your great Epiphany in your life as you continue to search for him here at St. Hyacinth. Whether it be in prayer, Adoration at our parish, or serving in the ministries, by searching in the right places, you will have a great encounter.
Last, but definitely not least, Good News! I would like to invite you all to my Pastor installation next week, Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the Noon Mass. After Mass, we will have a light reception after, further details will be posted. So stay tuned...
